Favorite Road Trip

whitenerdc

Usually when I am writing to you guys, it is to inform you and provide with you guys tips on what it takes to be a basketball student manager, but today is a fun writing for me as I am going to rank my 10 favorite places I have been to with basketball or will be going to this upcoming season.

NUMBER 10 Georgia Southern

Now many of you may say how is Georgia Southern one of my favorites? Well the picture above says it all as beating Southern on their home floor to sweep them in the season series last season was what made Georgia Southern jump into my top 10 favorite road trips.

9. HOWARD

Howard University is next on my list and I enjoyed that trip. Not only did we beat Howard but it was my first time in Washington D.C. I enjoyed being able to go to the MLK Jr. Memorial with the team and being able to walk from the hotel in which we stayed at to the White House and seeing that for the first time.

8. COASTAL CAROLINA

Coastal Carolina is next on my list as it was nice being able to go to the beach last year and it was also nice to get our largest road victory in conference play since joining the Sun Belt Conference

7 UT ARLINGTON

Up next on my list is University of Texas Arlington. This is the first place I have listed in which we didn't get the road win at but, I enjoyed being in Arlington, Texas. We also stayed right beside Six Flags, and could see the Dallas Cowboys stadium from our hotel as well.

6. ETSU

Next on my list is East Tennesse State University! This gym was actually on a high school's campus but the road atmosphere was phenomenal for an old rivalry game between App State and ETSU. Another place we didn't win at it, but still enjoyed this road trip.

5. UNCG

Coming in at number 5 on my list is UNC-Greensboro and playing them at the Greensboro Coliseum. Another road game in which we lost, but playing at a huge arena like this against a very good UNCG team was a trip I enjoyed.

4. TENNESSE

Coming in at number 4 is the University of Tennesse. This is the first place on my list that I haven't been to for a game but App State plays there on December 15th. I have actually been to their gym once before working a basketball camp there and I look forward to it again this December despite it not being as packed as it is in this picture due to COVID-19

3. NC STATE

Coming in at number 3 on my list is NC State. NC State's arena is one of the nicest places I have been able to watch a game at from the bench and despite losing to them it was nice seeing all the App State fans that made the trip to Raleigh last year.

2. AUBURN UNIVERSITY

Coming in at number 2 is Auburn University. This is the second place on my list that I have to attend as App State plays Auburn on December 22nd. I look forward to making this trip and can't wait to be at this place in December.

1. MICHIGAN

And coming in at number 1 is The University of Michigan. This is my favorite place I have ever been to as the arena's atmosphere was crazy and on the morning of game day we got to walk out on to the football field and visit the place where the App State Football team pulled off the greatest upset in history. We sadly lost this basketball game but once trailed by 30 in the second half before coming back and losing a close game.

This is a really cool way to capture your experience as a Basketball Manager! It is a great way to show all of the wonderful experiences and opportunities you have had.

Daniel, this is awesome! I have had the privilege of traveling the country and visiting many different college and professional sports venues so I too appreciate the opportunities to see places other than the Holmes Center!

This is cool. I have been to NC States arena, and Tennessee's arena. The atmosphere in those places when they are packed out is insane!

No surprise to see Michigan coming in at #1, coming back to make that a close game was awesome to see. My buddy is a student basketball manager at Wofford!

These games are crazy cool to go to. I'd love to go to more games throughout the coming year.
